Are you a longarm quilter looking for a digital pantograph that I’ve designed? Take a look over at the Longarm League site, you’ll be able to find it there.

I’m booked for 2019! Please only proceed if you are okay with your quilt not being started until 2020.

The Longarm League is a group of other passionate longarm quilters! If you are interested in a faster turnaround time, please check for availability with another quilter on this list: Longarm League Directory.

Longarm Quilting Services

The services I provide are exclusively digital edge-to-edge designs. This means that the quilting will be uniform across the quilt top and not area-specific.

My goal as a quilter is to make the quilting look custom by the way we carefully select the quilting design to match your quilt top. My personal aesthetic leans toward modern-looking, often geometric and abstract quilting designs. I also favor more dense quilting with a goal of giving your top lovely texture that compliments your patchwork.

Do you know exactly what you want?

That's great! All of the commercially available digital pantos are available. If I don't have it in my inventory currently, I'm willing to go halfsies with you (most cost between $12 - $17) so that you can get the panto of your dreams, whatever it might be. Check out the websites I've linked to below if you'd like to browse options or email me a photo of quilting you'd like to replicate and I'll try to find the pantograph for you.

Not so much?! :)

I have years of experience when it comes to choosing designs, and I would love to help! When you contact me via the button above, you have the option to have me pick the design entirely and/or make the thread choice.

If the spirit of inspiration moves, I've even been known to create my own digital designs for a totally original pantograph. ;)

Price per square inch

I charge 3 cents per square inch for most all designs. For the rare, extremely intricate or dense design, I may charge more but would let you know in advance of beginning your top.

Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .03 = $144.

Minimum charge

My minimum quilting charge is $50. This means that a small quilt or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $50 minimum.

I use and stock my favorite Quilters Dream batting in the 80/20 cotton/poly blend, 100% cotton and in the 100% poly. I have limited quantities of wool batting in stock, please ask for availability.

I will order other fiber varieties of Quilters Dream batting like Dream Orient or their Green option (made with recycled plastic) for you if given enough lead time.

Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price.

I stock both Glide (#40 & #50 weight) and some So Fine (#50) threads. I don't charge any extra fees for thread use, it's included in your square inch price.

My personal style attempts to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of your quilt. But this is YOUR quilt! Let me know if you have a preference on thread color.

I'm not a professional photographer but I do my best to take "nice" photos with my "good" camera! :) Upon completion of the quilting, I will take photos of your quilt in my well-lit studio and then text/email you those images to use however you would like. I'd just ask that you credit me for the photo and/or quilting if posting publicly. This extra service is included in your square inch price.

To me: I live in Iowa, USA, and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. I'd recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of sack or bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a hard-sided cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly.

Return shipping: I will send your quilt back to you in the manner described above via USPS Priority mail (using flat rate when possible/economical). Priority mail comes with $50 of insurance and a tracking number but please indicate on your intake form if you would like me to buy any additional insurance on your behalf. It's a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage while with the Postal Service, but I don't require it.

Other costs

As mentioned above, batting is not included in the square inch price. I'm required by the State of Iowa to collect a 7% sales tax on the quilting service portion of an invoice. Batting, shipping, and any design/pantogaph fees are not subject to sales tax if outside the state of Iowa.

After the work is complete, I will invoice you via PayPal. I really do appreciate timely payments as that enables me to mail your project(s) back to you right away.

What size should my backing be?

Here's an easy way to remember: Four-for-four! :) I require the backing to be 4" extra ON ALL SIDES. For example, if you have a quilt top that is 60" x 80", your backing should measure at least 68" x 88". It can be bigger, not smaller. Extra fees may apply if I need to put extra time and effort into getting your quilt ready to load. If you have questions, please ask!

I'm passionate about being able to give you results you will love! Teamwork! :)

Tidy it up!

Please press your top and backing for me so that it's nice and tidy and ready for me to load. Please also clip stray threads or raveling fabrics as best as you can. You might not be able to get them all, but to prevent dark threads shadowing through your quilt top, don't skip this important step!

Quilting Choice

I want this to be fun for you and not overwhelming! You have the option of having me make the quilting decisions for you. It all depends on your purpose for the quilt, sometimes "done" is best! Click the button at the top to get started.

Recent pantos

Have a look at some pantos I've used lately (and some I can't wait to use) to see if there's anything you can envision for your top!

Go forth and search!

To explore the perfect digital panto for your project, have a look at any of these websites below. Search the terms pantograph or edge-to-edge (E2E) to find the right type of designs. As I've stated above, I'm totally fine with chipping in to buy you the exact panto that your heart desires!
